Fibercon sailcloth is woven with new exclusive Fibercon High Tenacity Yarn. Fibercon high tenacity yarn is the first fiber specially formulated for use in sailcloth and is spun for Contender to our requirements for UV resistance, modulus, tenacity, shrinkage and detex size. High tenacity and constant shrinkage from batch to batch means these fibers create the tightest woven sailcloth available anywhere in the world. By maximising the number of warp and fill intersections through weaving and further heat setting, Contender can produce a sailcloth that offers inherent strength, stability and UV resistance found in no other sailcloth.
