Rutgerson Super Ring Removal Tool For SR35 Ring

Rutgerson is the only ring manufacturer that can offer a Ring Removal Tool for their rings.

A simple yet well engineered tool that quickly presses rings from the sail without damaging or weakening the structural integrity of the sailcloth. The hydraulic press operated tool has reduced a two hour operation to one that takes less than 30 seconds.  New rings may be pressed into the sail immediately, using the same holes in the cloth for the new toothed ring.

Directions for use:

• Place the pressed ring on the lower die (B) with the teeth washer on top and the rolled liner on the bottom, seated in the lower die. 
• Place the top punch (A) over the guide post with cutting edge down on top of the ring.  The cutting edge is recognised by its “concave” shape. 
• Press until bottom of the ring has sheared completely free of the toothed ring or until bottom of red band on punch. 
• To remove the remaining toothed washer, place the patch on top of the support cup and use a screwdriver or similar to punch out the toothed washer. 

These tools can be hired for cost effective occasional use.
